Explorer parts for my ranger

Explorer is spring under and ranger is spring over iirc.. spring perch mods?

My ranger ain't got a tag but i'll tell you what i know
Ranger-8.8 inch, 28 spline, 4.56 ratio,
Explorer-8.8 inch, 31 spline, 3.55 ratio

no its stock, also the explorer has irs and my ranger has a soild axle with leafs. and i hate irs all i want is the disc brakes

4.56 don't come stock in a ranger. 4.10 was the most.

I don't always have 4.56s in my stock Ranger but when I think I do I always tell people on interweb forums.

ya its 4.10 (looked it up to be sure) but there were a few 4.56 rangers. so what is needed to do a disc brake conversion

I didnt believe you so I did a little search and you are partially correct. Its nice to learn something new.
Axle code R8 and 89 were both 4.56 options for Rangers but they were only available in cab/chassis models and never in a 4wd truck.

You have all the components available to you for disk brakes. Take off everything from the axle flange out on both axles and swap it over. You'll need the caliper brackets, calipers, rotors and lines off the explorer.
