It's got some decent wheels and tires too!!... with trim rings AND center caps. Sweet.

I like the bucket seats and the shifter's location. I dang near bang by knuckles on the dash when shifting my NP435.

Bring on the build!

If that is a 460 it is sitting on the wrong perches.

I was thinking 400 as well. I am getting ready to put a 460 in my truck. Been shopping for the perches and know those aren't it. Those look like the ones in my truck holding up a 302.

I don't know a lot but I do know I owned a 390 in a 69 and the short water line running from the water pump straight to the intake or thermostat (the one painted blue)was just the same on my 390.

just went and looked at my 460 and the same water line is there so guess that didn't help much. Good score though.Gangstakr is a member of these forums, He could get you a grill.

Is that engine mounted solid? Looks like there is no rubber between the engine and perch in the pic of the left side. If so it could be a 460 that someone put on either FE or Windsor perches. Not enough room to use a mount with those perches and a 460.

yes the motor mounts are solid,don't give at all,lol its got a plate and bolted to the perch,mechanic friend said it was either a 429 or 460,said the first number on where ever he looked was DO so said it was a 70 block, i really don't know as i'm a 300 6 guy,hehe,sure runs good,working on the few rust spots and dings and then going to roll some flat black on it,thats about all i'm going to do to it besides help the brakes some,oh by the way the numbers on the truck says it had a 360

This type of dizzy cap was introduced in 1977. Has 8 male ends where the wires connect, below the cap is its adapter.

Valve cover bolt holes per side:

FE = 5 / 302/351W = 6 / 429/460 = 7 / 351C/351M/400 = 8.
