overheating
have 1997 ford with 4.6 winsor motor ... its a f150 4wd ... i have replaced the water pump and thermostat and it still overheats ... unless i turn on the heater in the cab ? ... any idea's on what can be causing this continual overheating ? there is no water in oil so pretty sure its not head problems !

did you flush the radiator when doing the water pump?...might not hurt to flush the heater core too. How about the hoses, were they replaced?...they could be collapsing restricting flow.

has no clutch fan ... doesnt lose coolant... air flow is average thrue radiator !... this truck has duel aftermarket electric fans .... and it only overheats driving down the road its fine at an idle !
