hey guys got a question put all four ball joint in last weekend drove it last night for first time all was well. my wife moved truck today heard it clicking front right ujoint looks good no play in it but yoke is hitting nut on lower balljoint bearing is good in spindale upper ball joint could be pressed about 1/16 deeper but would not keep it from hitting any ideas?
Is this the 94 or the 92? It might be the tie rods possibly??? If it was from the right side, then someting aint right cause the driveshaft either went to the drivers side or the center on the D60(dont quote me on that) so you might want to check your ball joints.
went out took it all back apart thought maybe lower ball joint was not up in knuckle all the way i think it was now it goes up to the fatest part of tapper is flush wit bottom of knuckle the yokes at u joint are still rubbing top of threads of bottom balljoint. my chilltons book dont have s??? for info. the right side is the long axle side what holds the shaft center is somthing missing at end of axle housing
Is the new ball-joint the same as the old one? I mean is the base the same thickness? I know it is a different year and much newer, but my buddy did his on his 98 250 4x4 and the driverside u-joint was hitting in the same place (on the bolt head). Luckly he had not junked the old ones yet and comparing them we found the new aftermaket was thicker and allowing the yoke to hit it. Just an idea.
