front axle spanner nut socket tool number

hey guys I was just wondering if anyone knows the tool number for the socket to take the spanner nut off of the front axle on a 92 f250 ifs? also how difficult is it to replace the passenger side ujoint in the front axle? I cant find anything on Mitchell SI and all of my coworkers just know the basics of fords (I work in a gm dealership). thanks guys.

Don't know the actual part number, but any auto parts store should carry them. Older GM and Dodge trucks used the same socket.

It the one with 4 teeth. If it's the one that was used on the older Chevy 1/2 tons, it should be the right one. Pretty easy to just pop off one of the hubs and make sure it's the right one.

ok thanks. I just need to find time after work to get on the lift. And when I go to pull the axle out to change the u joint is there any clip or something holding it in or do I just pull untill it comes out. man I really just need a mono beam that would make things a heck of a lot easier.
