I have inherited a 1987 F250 V8 7.5L. I have been fixing it up, getting everything working. A peculiar problem has arisen. To give some history: The brake lights would not work. I checked the fuse, blown. I Replace the fuse. Brake lights work as they should! Then I turn on the headlights so I get the running lights to turn on. The passenger side brake light is on and dim as it should be. When I hit the brake peddle the passenger side gets brighter as it should. However, the driver side stays the full brightness no matter what when the headlights are turned on.
Anybody have any initial ideas as to what is making it behave in such a manner?
