Hey guys I'm finally finishing my light rebuild, I've ran into my next red light. i have an injector that the nozzle is broken off on, I'm trying to decide if i should buy another original or if i should upgrade. the problem is I'm currently on a really limited budget. is there anyone who might have an old set off o.e. or stage one's they wouldn't mind parting with? also in my other thread i mentioned power loss and white smoke erupting out of the blue i think i found the general problem with this issue. On my wiring harness 3 out of the 4 connecters that hooks to the vc gasket have the outside prong on one side disintegrated. how much do the harness's cost on average and what would cause this to happen?
Yes, the harness under the valve cover. It's not an unheard of problem. Be sure to closely inspect the pins in the valve cover too. If the harness is burnt, the pins may be also. If you put a new harness on burnt pins, you may damage the new harness.
The harness's under the vc are fine, it's the external harness that hook into all the sensors, gpr, alt, and such where the injector and glow plug feed are burnt and looking at my valve cover gaskets there going to need replaced too.
yea go to ford they have a connector repair kit which essentionally replaces the whole connector and the pins no splicing or that bs just replace the connector and valve cover gasket as well
alrighty, ill just got ahead and do all of the above, the wife gave me permission to get what i want so im gonna have jim rebuild my injectors to stage ones, as far as the hpop goes whats the best option for a low budget?
349 plus 10 dollars to ship back. It will help keep pressure up with stage ones so you'll have more noticeable gains with them. Mine is on its way to him to be built.
