Clunk!
Mt 99 F350 has a loud clunk when put in gear.
I gather that this is from the driveshaft slider and can be cured for a while with lubrication.
Is there a grease zerk or does the drive shaft have to come out?
What kind of grease works for this?
I use PlastiLub for aircraft drive shafts sliders. Any one ever tried it on trucks? Nice and thick and sticky. Stays on at 6k rpm.
Thanks

You can follow these instructions:
2004 F250 Slip Yoke Service
A good chassis, or gear lube will work. Yes you will have to drop part of the drive shaft but it doesnt take long.

Just kidding. I bet your bushings need replacing.
