Unhappy Hydralic line for slave cyllider '96 F150

Just replaced the clutch and slave cylinder. Now have a leak at hydralic line going into slave cylinder. Trying to remove the line and am having problems doing so. It seems that the white collar that was on the line is missing, does this have to be there or is there a way to get around this? I'm not really wanting to have to pull the transmission again.

the white collar holds the line in. see if napa has a repai kit, you shouldn't have to remove the trans to fix it

The white ring is used to release the metal fingers that hold the line to the slave. If it is missing, I'm not sure how you'll get the line to release from the slave cylinder, unless for some reason it is still in the released position.

I don't think it will fit, but might be worth a try if nothing else works.
