For those who were interested, I have a pic of my PSD with the 40" Goodyear MT/Rs in my gallery. These are an awesome tire for anyone looking for something that's not too wide.
YETI - They make about the same noise as the BFG ATs on my other truck... in other words, pretty quiet. I can only hear them a little bit with the windows up and the music off. They roll and turn like a normal street tire, unlike some other aggressive tires where you can actually feel the tread as you start to roll.
Off road, I've had them over boulders (they reaaalllly stick... I see whey they call them Rock Spyders), soft sand, California mud, and normal trail stuff, all with no problems. They clean pretty well in the mud, which sucks because it ends up on my doors and mirrors. Every report I've read says that they are great in the snow too, I'll find out in a few weeks when I head out to Colorado for some vaca time. Oh and I don't slide around in the rain anymore (Baja Claws suck on wet pavement -or- they are fun on wet pavement depending on how you look at it).
Hey Dan, looks lowered, huh? It's the same though, the tires actually measure to a full 40". The Baja Claws (38.5") had a real size of 37.5". It's still going down as soon as I take care of some tire clearance issues.

That's why....the tires seemed to fill up the wheel well more than your claws and the pic was at a different angle so I wasn't sure.
Hey that truck looks just like mine. But I dont have 40's, And its not a diesel, and I dont have a chrome bumper or grill, and my headlights are different.... But its the same color!!!
o.k. its not just like my truck, But it sure looks sweet.
Originally posted by cwb Again, how much lift are you running?
LW555 was kind enough to give me the measurement from the top of his axle tube to the frame next to the bumpstop. It measured 17.5" which would be in line with what you would get out of a 9.5"-10" lift.
cwb, the back is around 9 to 10 like DC mentioned. Front has a bit more, maybe 11? (it sat lower when it was stock, you know, nose down...). My spring pins are set forward, so it doesn't rub much, only if I turn hard and the suspension compresses a lot.
Also the wheels have 4.5" backspacing and tires are only 13.5 wide, so that helps.
But I'm not going to wheel hard with these.... yet... I'm doing some other "things" to the truck. I have a set of 38" Baja Claws that I offroad with right now.
Eazy, I like your truck! great color! it looks nice, always liked that body style.
Thanks, I like yours too. That pic is when I firdt got it, I have different wheels on it now, The ford wheels that kinda look like eagle 589's. Im sure you know the ones. I will soon be putting atleast 285's on, I might go with 305's. I will keep me pics updated.
