I'm looking for advice on how to make the connection from the 5th wheel to the truck for a 3 camera system.
I haven't picked out any specific hardware yet since I'm concerned with how I'm going to get the signal to the monitor in my truck.
The tow vehicle is the '95 F250 in my sig, with the small XLT mirrors. I do have a set of **** mirror extensions, but they did little to help me see around my camper (especially on the passenger side since it's a flat mirror, not convex). I'll be moving my camper home again in mid October, and I would like to install a camera system for the drive so that I can actually see what I'm doing.
I would like to install left & right side cameras and also a backup camera at the back end of the camper. I'm hoping to get a multi-display monitor so that I can see all of the way around the camper as I'm driving. The problem I'm running into is that most systems require a control box to be installed in the cab of the truck to switch between single cameras or split screen setups. To me, this means I'll need to have multiple camera cords running from the truck to the trailer. I would prefer to have either a fully wireless system, or a wired system with only one cable to run to the cab. I would also like to avoid a separate control box for the cameras (i.e. split screen built into the monitor).
So, I'm looking for advice on how to make the connection from the trailer to truck and also any advice on specific brands or hardware that will meet my criteria.
I haven't seen anything quite like what your trying to find but that doesn't mean it's not out there. With the split screens and\or numerous monitors in the cab, it's going to resemble a casino security office. Please let us know what you find. I'm interested too.

I can't find anything like you are looking for in my catalogs. I am wondering if you are sure you can not get by with one wide angle rear camera mounted on the camper. I do not have direct experience with wireless systems, but by report they have been somewhat problematic.
I went through this on mine, I bought the 3 camera system then when i was running all the wires I mounted the controller box under my dash, along with the monitor, one camera facing the ball mount, one camera mounted on the top of my TT at the rear facing down (best vantage point for a rear facing camera) then i had to buy the trailer quick disconnect setup, it is another cost, and for every camera mounted on the camper i needed another trailer quick disconnect so If i were to buy it over again i would recommend this setup instead Rear View Safety | Product | 5th Wheel Backup Camera System | RVS-770614-213
it includes the required trailer quick disconnect cable and connectors.
the quick disconnect is the only way to go, top notch quality, and makes everything work like oem.
I dont see a need for the side mounted camera, I never installed the 3rd camera in my setup, IMHO all you really need is eyes looking down at the bumper from the top on the rear of your rig,and a camera looking at your hitch setup, I can back within 4 inches of any object and in complete darkness with this setup, I highly recommend it.
the best way to find the best spot for the cameras with your particular rig is to run everything and before you actually mount the cameras put it where you want then go back to the cab and look to see what you are able to see with it where you placed it, when you r happy then make it permanent

LOL, with the setup i posted a link to the monitor you can switch which camera you want to view by selecting the vid button, you can even rotate and lighten and darken the image. you are limited by how many cameras you want to run the cableling for. it is really good quality im impressed, i bought mine from costco before i found the website selling them
