OK here we go, ive got an 04 with 108k on the motor. just the other day i noticed a large amount of smoke belowing out of the exhaust while i was idling. when i take off from a dead stop it puffs and goes away until i come to the next light. head gaskets should be fine, no coolant leaks, no egr, new injectors last winter and a powermax turbo. no cel so far but it is smoking to bad to dare to drive it. So i noticed oil dripping out of the exhaust and realized my whole pipe is filled with motor oil. Obvious turbo seal right? so i pull the turbo out and put the stock one back in, same issue but a little bit less smoke. after a day of driving i noticed smoke is getting worse. is there a good chance that the stock oil seal went bad from sitting for 8 months out of the truck or do i have another issue? i feel pretty confident in the fact that its a turbo issue due to the fact that the exit port to the down pipe is oil, sticky gummmy build up and the exhaust inlet is dry with just typical black soot, not wet. any info, help would make you my new best friend.
sorry if im all over the place in my story, im not a writter lol
