Another new SCrew...

A couple of new SuperCrews have been posted today - must be a good day to get SCrew'd.

Here are some pics of mine. 5.0 - good to go. The sound this motor makes while nearing 6,000 RPMs is spine-tingling - sophisticated, glorious V-8 sonic mayhem, for sure.

Line-X appointment is set for Saturday morning. An Agri-Cover and Kenwood Excelon speakers show up tomorrow.

Glad to be back on FTE, although at a lower GVWR.

Thanks PK, and thanks Senior Chief. The color/wheel combo was what brought me to the dealer I bought from, and the $5,000 in incentives that ended on Monday sealed the deal. Very pleased so far.

Lovin' that color. I saw one the same color when I was working on a hiway job earlier this summer. It would catch my eye almost every day. Congrads and welcome back

I actually like the brown on this truck, the interior looks very "warm". Goes great with the exterior. Enjoy!

What are they hitting you $$ for the LineX?

Thanks for the kind words all!

$469, which includes a small military discount. Kinda steep, but it's one of those "have to haves", in my opinion.

Yes, it's real - real FAKE!

It is indeed a sticker - but Ford seems to have done a decent job with it. They kept it subtle and not too gaudy.

No real wood in my upper middle class Lariat. Perhaps the Lariat LTD or Platinum have some, but I doubt it.

Some Saturday mods and more gratuitous photos.

There's nothing like freshly sprayed Line-X:

The Agri-Cover installed and looking sharp:

Installed the Garmin using a Pro-Fit G3 mount, which is a clever setup. Hoping to find a way to hide the power cord - perhaps through the cubby underneath the 12V port.

And last and likely least, my not-so-famous "1/4 inch chickenwire mod". I put this stuff behind the grill in order to keep larger bugs from dinging up the radiator.

In the past I have drilled holes and used rivets, but in this case I was able to use eight existing mount points already in the vicinity - four nuts securing the top of the grill and four torx screws at the bottom. Easy!

man i like the center of your dash!
paint the chicken wire black and you wont see it. you might try that bird netting from OSH on it and you will never see a bug on your radiator. just a few thoughts.

More add-on goodies: AMP PowerSteps. These things are awesome! I'll have to eat chicken soup and Ramen noodles for a month to pay for them, but oh well...
