Transmission Feels 'Loose'

My 1990 Ford F-250 7.3 IDI's 5 speed manual transmission feels very loose when going in and out of the gears.

Is this a transmission issue, or simply worn out linkages or something ?

Worn shifter, bushings, shift forks are all a possibility.

Page 96 here starts the ZFs, you can see the parts involved in the blow up:

You should have an access panel in the floor of your truck. Once you pull that, you can pull the top plate and shifter off the trans and get to some of the parts involved.

I changed the bushing, and it now feels a lot tighter! Thanks
