Hey I have a 81 Ford f100 Ranger Explorer, it says Ranger above the f100 and explorer near the tailgate on the sides. My truck is in EXCELLENT shape only rust isnt even rust its bubbling on the rear fender well. it has a holly 4 barrel carb and edelbrock intake on a 302 engine. This truck is really really sharp. I just dont know anything about this model and I cant find ANYTHING at all on the internet for it. I am looking to get rid of this as I need the money. What is a good price to ask for this truck? thanks
jeriah
91k mileage, c6 tranny, no slips or anything in tranny, interior is all original and is great, no rips tears or cracks or anything, leather. tires are goodyears with about 80% tread, engine is outta an 82, only 20k on the engine

That bubbling IS rust, and usually BAD rust. If it's causing the paint to bubble it means it's deep into the metal under the paint and that would make me look real hard at the rest of the body and underside for more. But if it is as clean as you say I'd probably go $3000 maybe more. But then around where I live, any running pickup is worth at least $1500. But when looking at it look at it like the buyer not the seller. Be honest with yourself about what you see and what condition it is really in, and how fast and how much you want to sell it. You can ask anything you want but it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.
