adding transmission temp guage
They all will have different presentations to you.
In the pan you see the average pan temperature only.
.
In the side of the trasmission you will see a different reaction that includes the case temperature as well as the intermediate fluid temperature.
.
In the line imediately out of the converter, you will see the highest temperatures due to hard pulling, stop and go traffic etc before converter lockup etc. that may scare you but the temps are always there all the time as you use the truck. The temperture variations are more extreme and faster reacting to load and driving situations.
Take your pick.
For heavey towing I have mine installed just after the converter with an electric gage.
The electric gage requires a 12 volt feed when the ignition on and both types a night light feed when the parking lights/headlights are on.
Good luck.
There is a port that has a removable plug.
The sensor is a direct fit.
Drivers side. Front of vehicle to the left.
Two wires to the gauge. 12v to power the gauge. And a tap into dash lights.
One to the gauge. Red wire in picture.
