Line locks

Since I can't find a manufacturer for parking brake cables for my truck, I was wondering if there are any down sides to putting in a line lock for the braking system.
Any info, opinions, facts would be appreciated.

Line locks

Too many negatives to use a line lock for a parking brake.
1) If the fluid leaked a little, no brake.
2) Need power on for electric solenoid. Associated battery drain. If power failed, no brake.
3) If applied when brakes are hot and the drums or disks and calipers contract when cooling, possible pressure increase and blown line, no brake. Not likely but who knows?

That said, I used to drive a 2 1/2 ton truck (cornbinder) that had a manual hydraulic parking brake but it was only recommended for temporary use.
