I'm Restoring a 1964 F100 2 wheel drive pickup. It has a 429 engine and C-6 Auto Transmission. I'm looking to replace the entire front end, so I'll have better steering, disc brakes etc. etc.
My question is. What type of front end should I be looking for to make the replacement as easy as possible? I'm hoping to search salavge yards once I know what to look for.
Thanks in advance!

Mark,
do a search for front ends or IFS. There have been heated discussions on what is the best front end to put under these trucks. All have their good and bad points. Some of the ones discussed: Chrysler "Volare", Aerostar, Dodge Dakota, Jaguar, Mustang II. It all comes down to your abilities, budget, and preferences.
Psssst. I vote for the Aerostar if you are on a budget.

Take a look at idustrialchassis.com , they have a dakota ifs that is what i'm saving for. they also have a steeringwheel re-alignment/ brake pedal hanger that 1) puts the steering wheel in line with the speedo and 2) enables us 64 owners to put a power boost brake system on the fire wall with out it hitting the valve cover on big blocks. the second item mentioned is not on their web site but I called and it is available for 64's. Good luck.
