It aint perfect but once I do a little touch up it will be close enough. Im not going to name names only because I may leave someone out, but you all know who you are, and already know how much I apreceiate your help from the bottom of My heart. Any one so inclined may view my alblums there are three. Well the touch ups , interior, exaust, shims, and new heads to finish off the edelbrock performer package Ive got on my 302 will have to wait awhile because My wife and I are getting ready to take a long over due honymoon. For our 20th annaversery we are taking a 15 day cruise to Hawii, so its time to pack. Today I took the truck for a shake down cruise after My Wife helped Me reinstall the back glass, boy did it feel good, runs strong, quite, and almost no bump steer. Well thats it for now My friends, and THANKS AGAIN TO ALL. (JIMMY)
WOW JIMMY !!! That is one pretty truck dude !!!! Now were ever you go on it this is the number one ? you will be asked. Hey WHAT YEAR IS IT ? I bet you a buck no less then 5 people will ask you this every time you drive it. I hope you have a wonderful trip !!! aloha
Well done Jimmy...your hard work and willingness to learn as you go have paid off handsomely. I know quite a few guys who would have cried "uncle" long before this project had been completed, you should be very proud of your self...I know that Mrs Jimmy is!
Hey Jim,
That's a great looking truck - Congratulations on painting it yourself!
What's that shiny "box" on the running boards? Quite an acheivement!
Ben in Austin
Thanks Ben. Thats My answer to where should I put the battery LOL, Really, I didnt want to clutter up the engine compartment and I kinda like the way it looks.
Thanks Jim,
I couldn't figure out what that could be - as good a place for a battery as any. It's better than where chrylser put them on the old 300's - Had to take the front fender off to change the battery.
Have a great trip to Hawaii - You are making the rest of us look bad with that whole second honeymoon thing. Luckily my wife doesn't frequent this forum.
Beautiful job Jim!!!! Great choice in color! That brown always looked good on that bodystyle. So what it if not completely perfect, if it was you'd be too scared to use it! I think it looks fantastic! After that honeymoon, get out there and enjoy it! BTW- happy 20th anniversary!!
