Squeaky Front Springs
My 2000 SD, 7.3 PS sounds like an old squeaky, qreaky bedspring going down the road. I have traced the squeak to the front springs (I think because when I squirt oil in the pivots it quiets down for a bit).
There seems to be a plastic wear pad at the mounting pivot points that is worn. Are these replaceable? Is there any kind of an aftermarket solution?

Squeaky Front Springs
Had the same trouble on my 2000 4x4 tried everything Ford came out with a up date pad, it worked for a week or so then the same old squeak, kinda drives ya nuts. Go to NAPA and get some chain and cable lube, its a very thick lube we use on cranes, spray it on the front of your front springs spray it on thick, its thick enough it won't fly all over your truck. Did mine and man-o-man it works I only have to do it once a year. try it. Good luck.
