Does anyone else run one? My kit didn't come with a pitman arm, but we added one seperate. I was looking yesterday and noticed that when I was turned to full lock the arm come in contact with the drop trackbar bracket. It's not much just enough to keep the paint off and make a mark. I guess this is why it didn't come with the kit. Any way I was just wondering if anyone had this happen.
hey i got a 4 inch superlift kit with dual shocks in the front. mine dident come with a pitman arm either. i just went and looked at my bracket and it dosent look like it has hit it at all. what kinda drop pitman arm do you have? i bought a pro comp pitman arm. ive had the lift for 2 months but i really havent turned the wheel the full distance that much maybe be that could be why i havent noticed anything. on my friends superduty he has a 6 inch lift and his pitman arm actually was hitting his bolt and he cut part of the bolt head off so it wouldent hit.

But yours is the 8" isn't it? Instructions for the SL 4" doesn't even mention a pitman arm. They only come w/ the 6" and 8" kits. It's not included w/ the Skyjacker 4" and 6" lift kits although the instructions do recommend it.
I just put the 4"ift on mine as well. It didn't include the arm, but by having 56k miles on the truck, I thought I'd get it aligned once I installed the kit. The guys who checked the alignment said everything was ok...I asked them about a dropped arm, and he said he didn't see the need. I don't know about it hitting the track bar plate, but I will look tonight.
I have the superlift pitman arm, and no I didn't try calling SL. It didn't really bother me that much. It looks like if I had a bigger lift and drop bracket everything would clear, I guess this is why they don't mention one. I agree with Yeti and others, and think it is important to keep the steering in line with the track bar. Thats why I got it seperate. Skyjacker doesn't come with one either? Do any of the 4" kits?
Donahoe do you think I should call them? It wasn't part of the kit so they will just tell me that it wasn't needed, or designed to go together.
Anyway the truck still looks and drives good in my eyes so thats all that matters right?
