odometer question

Ok I saw a thread where it looked like one could reset the odometer clock thing or at least change it from miles to metric and metric to miles, does anyone know how to do this real easy? Im thinking of trying out the green fim removal but i figured to do this on a test unit (which i think is in imperial) and I want to know what to do to change it, I remember seeing a way to do this but it looked like it was resetting something else...

This page show how to recalculate your speedometer for different size tires. The first paragraph talks about Metric/US. You can only recalibrate the PSOM 5 times.

ok cool, I thought that was for resetting the odometer but wasnt too sure on that, if I change it from metric to imperial lets say would that force me to recalibrate for my tire size (im keeping my tires as is) only thing i want to change is the mileage part and either put it in metric or imperial.
