decodeing casting num.

decodeing casting num.
can someone please help me decode my motor on the block i found d4af b2a 4m3 or at least thats what i can make out any help would be great

Casting numbers are foundry marks, cannot be cross referenced to Ford part numbers.

You don't own the Ford Master Cross Reference List that crosses engineering to casting to parts numbers?

you would think as long as they have used the part # system they would have crossed it over to casting #
