Quick Exhaust Question

On a 2003 6.0l, what is the OE diameter of the piping that contains the Cat?

In other words, what should be the diameter for an OE Cat delete pipe? Most of them are 4in, which are meant to go with an already installed 4in turbo back kit that I don't have

Oh and how will my exhaust sound without a Cat, but WITH OE muffler??
Thanks!!!

I think most factory exhaust is 3 1/2 inch. If u r goin to toss ur cat might as well toss muffler to.

The front portion ahead of the cat with the two bolt flange is 3 1/2". Behind the cat is 4" with the slip fit.

ok 3.5in makes sense.

What does slip fit mean? Does it bolt on at one end, and kinda slide into the rest of the exhaust piping (going toward the muffler) on the other? Cause I see two clamps.

The rear portion of the cat is just a length of 4" pipe that slides inside of the exhaust ahead of the muffler, and it uses a u-bolt clamp to secure it.
