Power windows

I have a 1997 f250 obs xl single cab that I’m fixing up. I also have a 1996 f250 obs xlt crew cab parts truck. Will the power window harness that goes behind the dash from the crew cab work in the single cab truck? I’m trying to make my xl truck a power window truck without cutting and splicing wires. Thanks.

On the parts trucks, are the rear windows power as well?

Yes, all 4 doors are power windows. I just picked up a 1995 f150 single cab parts truck today, but it has an airbag and factory keyless entry. That defiantly won’t work right?

I am not sure. The power line for the rear passenger side door may be in the harness, so a 2-door harness would not work.

Thanks Jas88. I will be pulling the harness this weekend from one of my donor trucks. I will post back sometime next week to let you know what I used and how it worked. Not sure if your interested in hearing or not but maybe it will help someone in the future converting an xl truck to an xlt. Thanks again.

Here in MN, I'd be very interested. I, too, have a 97 w/manual windows. Super clean from the Colorado desert county and have been thinking a lot on this type of conversion. Thanks.......... Larry
