I am assuming the ScanGuage II is NOT bi-directional, due to the simplicity of the design, so if it can read and display the live data, I am assuming the previously mentioned scanners will as well?
I made a post earlier today that has a link to scangauge from what I have read off there site it will read live data. I am also looking for a new scanner

Yeah weldworks, I saw that. THE SGII definitely reads live data, but I want something a little more useful to me as far as diagnostic capability for different vehicles, I have been spoiled by a Snap-On Modis so I am looking at some Matco (manufactured by Actron I believe), and some OTC models, but they look identical to the Actrons too.
I bought an equus (Innova) 3160 right after I got my truck as I wanted to investigate EGR issues. **** poor piece of equipment for what I needed. It would pull codes (active and pending) and did freeze frame. It also did 1 forced test but I can't remember what it was. And I never used the ABS function. I sold it to a guy at work and took a loss. Bought a $30 PC based ELM interface cable and software that worked great until I got a ScanGauge.

Rusty it is funny you said that. The 3160 was on my list account you can purchase them for $190 on Amazon. After a lot of research and speaking with the tech reps at Equus, I decided I would probably never buy a product from them.
On my list was Matco 9001N @ about $800 (OTC 3499N @ about $500), Matco MPS 700 @ $335 (same as Actron ACTCP 9580 @ $195, OTC 3111 @ $276).
Anyway, I ended up with a cherry, used Matco 9001N for a couple hundred bucks, in the original box.
Still not sure if I can get it to interface with the 6.0's to read EOT, but it was a good buy for my other needs without having to lug the Snap-On Modis around. If it won't read the EOT, I will buy a SG II for monitoring.
