Spring ok?

Just noticed that my lowest spring on the right rear is out of joint:

Is there supposed to be some sort of retainer clip or do the u-bolts keep the bottom spring in line? I'm on my way out the door for a 2000 mile trip and would like to have no hold ups..

TY

Nah. Happens from time to time. I guarantee if you hit it with a hammer it wont move.

if your worried. you'll have to get some new u-bolts and drop the rear axle to check the center pins on the spring packs.
Though I doubt its broke, sometimes they work their way side ways.
I had this happen on my 95.

Thats actually more of a helper spring anyways, and not a main load spring, so it has no effect on suspension unless your loaded.

Just make sure the u bolts haven't loosened and the center pin hasn't sheared. No need to buy new u bolts unless you like wasting money like a tard.

Well moving can be a pita . I just want to get things good enough to get there. . One of my family members is sold on Bridgestone and they will help finance a new set:

Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more

I'm cool with it.. going back to the stock size too..

If it was my U bolts, I would replace them instead of being a tard and reuseing the old ones. Safety first buddy, better then being in a ditch wondering why your still alive!

I would atleast try to get a 265/75 if you can. The ride will be alot better and more stable then the 235's.
