Baja ranger ideas

I'm just starting a thread to see what other people have done with makeing 2wd rangers in to baja trucks. I got a 1996 4 cyl ranger all stock and was thinking of building it into something fun to fly around the back roads in but also drive to and from work in and keep a functional truck. So far i'm thinking do a cold air intake, 2.5" exaust, electric fan, mabey a turbo when I got the funds, mabey get rid of the power stering , a good lift with extended radius arms. And 31" tires and 4:11 posi rearend out of an explorer. Think it would be relitivly easy and not to hard on the bank to do but post some pics give me some ideas is the 4cyl a waste of time should I just drop a 5.0 in it? any feed back is great thanks
