I am working for a landscaping company and we have a 20x8 enclosed Vnose trailer.
last season we had a smaller trailer that got stolen.
Our drag tires on this new one are wearing out in a matter of 2 months. I am wondering what could be causing this. the tire pressure is right. the weight is spread over evenly.
I know we make alot of sharp turns, but no more than we did last season and those tires lasted 2 years. Since purchasing this trailer late winter of last year we have gone through 4 sets of our drag tires.....
Are you running TRAILER tires?? if not cheaper car tires will wear out very fast because they are not designed for all the scuffing that a trailer tire gets.
yes they were load baring trailer tires. for this new set we have gotten a drop hitch to get the trailer as level as possible(vs it just being level when the truck bed has 10 bags of dead grass in it) and are checking the tire pressure weekly. lets see how long these last.
