Bow hunting Pat? Damn I'll miss that this year for sure. Looked at that 686, those are nice. Buddy at camp has one and its accurate, nice shooter. I can't hit much beyond 30yds though.
Rich, the 229 is a great gun. We used the 229, and 239 (.357) at work before switching over to Glocks 31,33 (.357). We were able to buy ours at a great price. I ended up selling one gun to my brother and the other to now ex-father inlaw. I always told the father inlaw that I would buy it back for what I sold it to him for. We were able to buy it for a great deal. Well below retail.
I like the option os switching barrels to have two different caliber pistols.
Training was great on this wonderful day. New Stag Arms ar-15 in the locker at work. We turned in our M-16 that were old and dated back. Callapsable buttstock, and a shorter barrel is about the only difference. Probably the coolest thing is that all the rifles have our badge ingraved into the side. It's well detailed.
Jasmine, I say leave the kids at home to cure thier hangovers from homecoming. By the time you get home they can tell you all about it.
Good luck Pat! I was going to be back home around Thanksgiving for a few days but that might not happen until December now. Buddies at camp are giving me a bunch of crap about it. Suppose I could find hunting around here but it's not the same as the old camp, got to ADJUST a bit. I'll try to adjust this weekend, me and Mr Miller Light!
I will be visiting the corner with MR Miller today also.
Going to try and organize the final move tonight and maybe execute it tomorrow after work.
I know I would love the 229, it just woldn't be a good move right now. going into a slow season for work for a few months.......I also just spend a little bit of my savings on a few goodies for the Jeep. As much as I would like to have it, do what you need to do Pat, if for some reason when I get the extra cash around again and you have it still maybe we can put something together.
Jasmin, maybe you should bring the kida along after home coming. What better way to cure a hangover than a couple hour drive in the truck
this guys was all about this a day or so ago, and just seems to have faded away. So.. I dont really need a hunting pistol, but thought it would be nice to have a .357 that I could put some .38s in and let Sheryl shoot.
She is a REAL good shot, but sdoes not like the "bang" I put in ear plugs and headphones for her to shoot, and truthfully, I still dont think she even likes shotting.
Gotta give her credit though, she has tried it, and shoots well.
