So, my slave cylinder went to crap and I have no idea how to remove it. I don't want to get down there and mess anything up as money is tight right now so I figured I'd ask you guys for some help. I'd really appreciate it.
Slave cylinder on the clutch? What engine do you have? The 460 and diesel where external, I believe the others were internal slaves and you have to pull the tranny.
If yours is like mine was on my 89 diesel, it is a huge spring clip that holds it on the bellhousing. It sort of looks like those cheap clip on nuts the factory uses on the sheetmetal of the truck, only it's very large and takes a lot of prying with a large screwdriver to get it off.

Pry the large retaining nut off your clutch fork. There will be a dowel pin/roll pin that will be lodged in the side of your clutch slave holding your master cylinder hose in. Knock it out with a nail and a hammer or a pair of needle nose and a slave. Replace opposite of removal. Be forewarned that bleeding it will totally suck I just did this a month or more ago. Lots of cussing was involved.
