drivetrain CLUNK...
Holy crap don't buy a Chevy. I was a Chevy lover half of my life... Well cause I was poor and parts were cheap and interchangeability were phenomenal. But after countless s10 types an S15 Sonoma ZX2 or 4 or whatever and a brand new '04 suburban LT Autoridre into the dealer 4 times for warranty And now my '12 Chevy van with 26k miles been in already for I warranty issue and looks to be going in again for a charging system issue ,at least it's company owned. Hey I love Chevies. Built from 1972 and older. On another note if you are going to put a "**** on" sticker on your truck have it say Nissan or Toyota. You know the guys who drive Jap trucks due to lack of testosterone or wannabe big boys "sSilly Boys, Jap trucks are for Girls!" If you want to but a Silverado by all means do so but stock up on door hinge bushings and plastic parts.
I get a "click" going into reverse when I leave my garage, but I think it's brakes..I got the slip/bump ONE TIME that I actually felt when driving, but I came to a pretty quick stop at the time. Maybe ya'll are braking too damn hard? I do not know.
I get a clunk when I take off from a. Stop with my Ranger when I don't latch my tailgate all the way
I have a 2010 Screw 4x4 and the clunk just started happening around 50K miles as the truck was coming to a stop. My noise appeared to be coming from the transfer case area of the truck. Took to Ford dealer twice, the most recent at 59,995 miles. They verified the noise. Noted it was loader than the first visit. Kept it for 3 days. Could not get anything from Ford. Greased the splines in the transfer case and then reassembled. They said the noise is still there but we checked with two other vehicles on the used lot and they had it too so that is just normal operation. What a bull crap answer. It is hard to get pissed at the dealership - they contacted Ford and Ford told them not to attempt any further repair. Seems like the old "ignore it and maybe they will stop complaining" approach from Ford. The technical term they are using is driveline windup. Supposedly the 2011 and new units have a clutch installed to help alleviate this noise, but that may just be an answer to get you to trade in on a new vehicle with the same issue.
I want to look into this for you and see how I can help. Send me a PM with your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name; I'll get to work on your case.

Crystal, as a new member, it appears I do not have the authorization to send PM's at this point. The issues is still ongoing with the dealership and a Ford field service engineer is being called in to drive the vehicle. Thanks.

My 2012 with the single drive shaft had this clunk/ bump, when taking off from a stop. It just occured within the last 5-6k miles. My 2005 that was traded on my wife's Fusion had this same issue, it had the 2 piece drive shaft. I always thought it was a characteristic of the truck until the new one started doing it, and I know it didn't do it before. I will mention it to the dealer at its next oil change, it has 24,000 on it now.
I rode in our safety directors 2013 last week, and it does it as well. I'm not sure if his is single or double shafted but it only has 4,000 miles on it and it clunks.
