Frequently Bought Together:

Buy this item with Cooler Master Silent Pro M 1000W 80+ Bronze PSU

on Tiger Direct.
I found a book at the store, I think it's called the pc bible. It kinda walks you through everything on how to pick and installation. Similar to this; http://www.amazon.com/PC-Bible-3rd-R...N%3D0201353822

that's a nice power supply, too bad the motherboard connector is a 20+4 and my motherboard is a 24 pin. Unless they are both the same and said different but I don't know.

Over the years, I've spent thousands of dollars from Newegg and TigerDirect. But TigerDirect is now off my list. I've always built my PCs myself (I'm a big AMD processor fan, BTW) and a little over a year ago I got some parts from TigerDirect. I had a hard time getting them to take back a defective memory stick and then when they did take it back, it was rejected. In the end, I got stuck for about $40 because of a defective memory stick that they declined to return.
I've also had defective products from Newegg and have had no problem with returning them. TigerDirect got bought out a little over a year ago and now their attitude is different. TigerDirect is off my list. YMMV.

I think I will check to see if the same parts can be had from Newegg for the same price or less then go with the company that has better reviews and feed back.

But here are links to what I am thinking about using for my build. Given this is piecing my first one together so there might be incompatible components or some slight errors but hopefully not.

So far I am at $874.92 excluding shipping and tax on parts, might be able to get some of these parts locally. I think I could benifit from a add on sound card instead of using the integrated sound card but I could always upgrade this later on. The graphics card I know I could pick up locally but I am leaning towards a GeForce graphics card. I know I currently have a ATI card and it performed flawlessly but everyone I see on gaming forums brag about their GeForce brand cards.

Got two cards picked out, a geforce gtx 560 ti 1gb for $215, or a geforce gtx 460 super clocked 1gb for $150.

I keep leaning towards the 560 ti.

Well im looking at $1200 almost with a pieced together build with the GTX 560 TI graphics card so I have been thinking about going with this barebones kit which has a better processor and I think motherboard coupled with the 560 TI graphics card I should be right around $950 total cost.

It wont have bluray seeing as how I hate to junk out a brand new drive their throwing in for the price unless tiger direct would consider doing a swap.

MSI P67A-C43 B3 DiabloTek Barebones Kit - MSI P67A-C43 B3 Mobo, Intel Core i7-2600K CPU, Corsair 4GB DDR3 RAM, Seagate 1.5TB HDD, LG 24x DVDRW, Thermaltake V3 BE Tower, Diablotek 600-Watt PSU at TigerDirect.com

But this looks to be a good starting point.

Was checking out the local sales and desided to hit online for local stores to see what I could find that has most of the same specs I wanted to go with for a good price.

Well I lucked out I found a SYX Systemax brand gaming desktop from CompUSA for $899.99 that has all the same specs minus the bluray drive which I think I could always upgrade to later. Which isnt that bad since their giving a free download of Shogun Total War which last I checked is still a $50 game. I also dont know if theres any sales on it currently due to the newer models coming out but I know I am getting the computer for $850 and the game for $49.99.

I just wondering who here has experiance with SYX and are they a good company? I love HP and would prefer HP but I am willing to give another brand a try especially considering I am getting 98% of the parts I picked out for less than me building it.
