Your tuner is fooling your map sensor... The AeroForce gauge is reading boost from the map sensor... You are not actually only getting 13psi it just thinks that is what you are getting so the truck dumps more fuel to make more power...
if you go back to stock tuning you will see that you are boosting perfectly normal #'s... and if you add a manual boost gauge you will see your higher boost #'s when tuned.
E99 Turbo with a old Superchip in it that came with the truck when I bought it, wastegate disabled and I see a peak of 24/25lbs as it flutters between the two. On average with a load and pulling a hill I'll see somewhere around 15lbs of boost unless I hit it WOT then the boost climbs, lvl ground at about 65 I'm just about 10lbs. With someone breaking wind in front of my I'll see 10 or less.
Normal driving on the hwy I see between 3 and 6. With a truck in front of me it's 2 or less.
hahahaha! you guys are regular comedians!
Seriously though you goofs! you know what I'm talking about.
However, if someone was "breaking wind" in front of me maybe I could put the methane to use .... Then again..

no boost fooler, will pulling i dont get to 2400rpms the egts would be 1500 with the SC so i keep them lower with lower rps around 1900 but only get 13 lbs.
My Box Van pulls around 24 psi's of boost when i lay into it. That doesn't even have an intercooler. When I don't lay into it, it pulls around 2 psi's just driving, and 4 to 6 going up a long hill.
FYI... The higher your RPM's the EASIER it is on the truck. Lugging causes smoke, high EGT's and more wear and tear.
It is NOTHING to pull for hours at 2700RPM's. Little hard on the pocket book MPG wise, but when in the hills, down shift and let her spin.
...
Nice leisurely towing music there Joe...
I couldn't agree more. Seems like these engines love to pull at 2500-2700 all day long. Whenever I start a decent climb I downshift to get the revs up and the truck does the rest. EGT's are down, temps are in check and the engine doesn't seem to mind at all. I'm pretty sure it could do that all day long if I asked it to.
I installed an Edge Insight and have never seen anything past 14lbs of boost. In fact, when accelerating, the boost hits 14lbs, then drops off. Changed MAP sensor and unplugged the waste gate. No difference. What I did, thanks to the advice from the guy I bought the Insight from, was change the monitor to read IPR percentage and the ICP sensor. What happens in my case is that while the boost goes up, ICP pressure drops off while the IPR percentage continues to go up. He said that based off those numbers, I am either loosing oil pressure from the injector O-rings, a bad HPOP, or the HPOP is running out of oil, or the IPR is messed up. He believes it's the injector O-rings. He will, when time allows, pressurize the heads HPO and see if they hold pressure or bleed off.
