looks like a dreaded trip to the ac shop (( sad day. i just spent a grand on a spit plug,2400 on the rear end, 600 on the breaks, and now this. in for a penny in for a pound.
WOW HIP HIP HURRAY
ok guys we solved my ac thru defrost only problem and its all thanks to you guys!!! i borrowed a vacuum pump/gage and went thru every damn line under the hood from the intake to the ac controls behind the dash and soon as i took down the glove box i saw it, the black hose from the engine bay into the cab was pinched behind the black cover (covering the heat exchanger i think) so i took it out, vacuum tested it and it held, no damge to the line, put that black line on the red one under the hood and walla there the ac was!!!out the ac vents and not defrost all working correctly and even in 4wd (since i replaced the vacuum pump for 4wd thinking it was the pump for the ac) so its all working great and now i know exactly what to do now if or when it happens again. i took some pics and ill post as soon as i figure out how. if any one has questions id be glad to help. thanks again to this awesome forum. saved me big bucks for sure)
