Hello,Im new to the website,just looking for help or advice.Check engine light and the code is PO299.so what Im hearing is posibble bad Turbo?Now it was running rough for 6months prior with no code.Very hard to start and white smoke from the tail pipe.I pull a 35 ft travel trailer which we have not been pulling.Then the turbo under over boost code happen.So with that bieng said Im wanting to fix now that the funds are available.Also I talked to Ford tech and He asked about an upgrade to the Vgt.I dont think my truck has had the upgrade but is it really neeed?If the Turbo is bad willing to buy a new one.Do I have to buy a Ford or is there better?Any answers are welcome.
