What exactly (in simple terms) does it mean when you talk about your truck not getting any boost?
My truck is very sluggish taking off up hill or in soft ground.
I dont think I could spin my tires.
The motor seems to be really working to get it moving.
On the highway pulling a trailer it will out run most anything?
Its been regularly serviced soi I dont think its oil or fuel related.
Bad injectors?
Is there a easy and inexpensive way a shop can test the injectors?

Boost is the amount of air pressure, measured in Pounds per Square Inch (PSI) that your turbo charger makes. The concept is more air means more power. Of course this only works if the truck adds more fuel. More air and the same amount of fuel will get nothing done.
A stock truck wont burn the tires. Even a brand new 7.3.
It is common to develop boost leaks on the IC boots (black and red rubber hoses on the silver pipes). Take some soapy water in a spray bottle and spray these while pressurized to find leaks.
You can have your injectors tested.. but you have to send them off to a special place to have it done. Riffraff can hook you up with that.
Did this change just happen w/ low power? You described low power on take off but good power on the highway...I agree w/ above post, check for boost leaks. Any check engine light? fuel filter clean? oil level/quality good? these are some simple things first.

My vote is worn down injectors, I just went through this for the past 3 months and finally changed my injectors and the engine runs like brand new and on an incline i can go from 60 to 80 mph in about 200 feet it seems. So i mean instantly.
Mine was sluggish, wouldn't accelerate cold unless the tranny shifted, as you pushed the pedal it felt like the engine was loading up and didn't go any faster, zero power like 3 guys could have held it back (maybe). started shaking around 40/45mph when in overdrive, and i couldn't hear the turbo spin when in park and gunning it.
How many miles on your truck? My vote for poor fuel pressure. I bet the in screen socks are plugged. I noticed a decrease in power. I installed a fuel pressure gauge and saw my pressure was only around 35 or 40 at w.o.t. installed a new updated setup I found on here and its a roaring freight train again.
