f350 super duty crew dullie
just bought a new 2011 truck
6.2 gas,6speed auto,373 rear gear
xlt
it had 100 miles on it , bought at dave sinclair in st. louis
drove 340 miles to waterloo ia, got 15.1 actual mpg.
drove to milwauke and back to waterloo, 540 miles, 15.6 actual.
i pull a 53' enclosed race trailer, loaded it gross 23,500 pds. went to leesburg fl. 9.1 mpg. 1380 miles.
came back to waterllo ia. empty,9.5mpg.
on way down, topped mt.egle tn. at 55mph.
in the past, i have owned a 99 sd. with a 7.3
and a 03 sd with a v10.
I'v never been as happy with either truck as i am with this one!
you couldnt get me into anything different.

down hill mt. egle
i was a little nervous, only have had CDL since it was issued, but first time in this new truck withthis engine and 6 speed.
still learning about trans, but put it in M locked out 5/6 gear, and got up to 34mph and tapped the brake and it held until i was about 1/2 mile from bottom, slid shifter to D and let it loose.
dont know if this is the right way or not, but thats what i did.
if anyone can tell me if this is right or wrong, i would really appreciate knowing the right way of driving it.
for the rest of the trip, going and coming i put the tow haul botton on and let the truck do all of the work.
