When i accelerate, it seems very choppy. Lkie i will be going 1000 rpm and it just jumps to like 1200 without any change in position from the pedal. It seems very weird and i cant figure it out. If anybody has any ideas then dont hesitate to share. The only thing i could think of its that i should run some cleaner through my injectors but thats it...
Check the pedal connectors. Clean it well with contact cleaner. Also dielectric grease them. Spray the throttle position sensor on it as well. More then likely has a little corrosion.
If the problem is consistent , you can test the TPS with a meter ..
You need to put a voltmeter across the GY/W and the GY/R wires on the connector to the TPS. With the key on, watch the voltage across the range of the throttle to see if there is any flat spots. You should see no less than .37 volts at idle position and no more than 4.5 volts at full throttle. The the third wire, (BRN/W), is the ref. voltage and should be 5 volts all the time.
its not a 'classic' potentiometer but a modern (read that as economical to manufacture) printed circuit design. Anything "full strength" will eat into it I'm sure. I went thru the same irregular/irratic response and just replaced the APS...The dorman part is the one I opted for as the other aftermarket versions had fitment issues.
I have heard if you add to much fuel additive it can make it run rough or mess with the idle too. I wouldn't try to add any until the problem is figured out. (may add to the problem and diagnoses)

SKIIIIRT! (sound of tires locked up at 55 MPH). Shame on me! I did not read what you wrote properly. I don't know why you can't try to clean the sensor.
I thought we were talking about adding fuel additive.
sorry.
thanks for all the help everyone, it turned out that it needed afuel filter very very very bad... It fixed it all up and she runs better than ever. but now having that said, i did want to clean out my injectors, anyone have any input on what kind of additive i should buy to clean them out?
