just got my new 35" tires and lift wanting to change speedo to correct speed. printed off the sheet telling me how from this forum, but i cannot find the wire it specifies, anyone know exactly where it is or if it might be different colors. thanks
I have found 3 wire connectors under the dash, there are 2 female black W/orange connectors, and one female/ blue, red, white, and greed wires. would either of these be the one. Please help, thanks

I'm uploading the page out of the '93 EVTM that shows the location of the connector. It'll be in this album in a few minutes. If you need a higher-resolution version, send me a real e-mail or a PM with your real e-mail address. Make sure to remind me what you need in that message.

I have a 2000 F-150. Speedometer is only 10% off. I would like to get it back on the correct speed. Do I have to take it to FORD Dealer to do this?
From what little I know about '97-up OBD-II systems, any code scanner can reprogram the speedometer on that truck, and many parts stores offer that service free now.
is it possible that it might be a 91 model computer because, i have searched and pulled apart wire loom on the passenger half of the vehicle and i cannot see a single wire nor one with a connector that is blue and yellow. is it behind the glove box area? do i have to take things apart to get to it? can anyone help me?
i figured out what wire it was its one if my black and orange connectors under the dash. although there is still a problem. i pressed the reset button speedo needle went up and back it displayed E 03 i pressed reset again and the conversion cal came up it was 918 i need 7..... but it started counting up not down and its now at 1039. i tried to do it again and it will not let me change it it will not flash again. can anyone help?
just incase anyone cares anymore i finally got my speedometer recallibrated. for starters my psom connector is black w/orange not blue w/yellow. Thanks to a friend at a local ford dealership (gave me speedo diagram). grounded wire and started to re-callibrate but it went up not down. so i stopped and tried it again and it would not. apparently the speedo had been reset 6 times ( go figure). Luckily i had bought and extra gauge cluster off of ebay for $15. i swapped out the speedometers, and grounded the wire, IT WORKS!!! Got the speedo recallibrated and i am done for a while hopefully. Thanks for putting up with my **** and trying to help me.
Thanks,
