transmission compatability

tranny choice is largely based on your intended use. a friend of mine has a c***** 6.2 with their 4-spd auto, built for fuel economy and nothing else, calls it the gutless wonder, but it his whole goal building it was 20+mpg, and he gets it. can't tow much, but reaches the goal. his fords are all built for towing, for which you can forget the e4od and either run a manual trans or a c6.
LSO1123, it sounds to me like your TPS problem is either that you're ordering the wrong sensor or your IP was rebuilt with the end of the shaft in the wrong rotational position. i don't know the inside of the IP to know if thats possible, so i would suggest checking out shaft position on other trucks (JY or other).

I am definitely ordering the correct TPS. As far as the pump having the shaft in the wrong position, I don't know. There was only one way to put the tooth , as I call it, on the shaft due to the two set screws. I do know that putting a good ole jerk stick in it will eliminate that problem! Lol
