You may want to check out your pressure sensor on your brake booster (it is a white plastic piece that is on the engine side/front). Mine went out and I lost my cruise control. Replaced it and was good to go. They are pretty cheap too. You can probably test it (I don't know how) but for the price it is worth just replacing it.

There is a recall on the CC cancel switch. If you haven't had it done it's a freebie.
I just bought the kit and replaced it rather then let the dealership do it.

Is the recall for replace the switch? I thought it was just an inline fuse harness that they installed.

If the switch looks good they just install an inline harness with fusible link. The kit I got at the dealership came with the switch and harness.

Its mounted on the master cylinder. At the end and underneath. The switch screws into the master cylinder.

Physically check to see if you have the new switch and/or harness. If not then Ford should do the recall.
The new harnes plugs into the stock harness and then the switch. Easy to tell.
