97 psd wicked wheel

Wow that's pretty cool I kind of look forward to doing it now. I like how mechanic shops try saying its going to take 9 hours labor. I just haveto get the wheel now.
Me impeller has little chunks missing from where it got chewed up.do you guys think that will really have a big effect on performance?

You can pick one up from RiffRaff for a really good price.
I got mine from clay when I over torqued it and stripped it.
I can get mine off in 15 mins mostly due to having the EBPV delete as well.
But if you got the right tools and have done it a few times, You can still get it off fairly quick.
You can go the other route and sneak a wrench under the pedestal and unbolt the turbo from the pedestal and it comes out a lot easier.
just remember to take the bottom exhaust nuts off before taking the bolts out of the top. The top bolts hold tension off the bottom nuts.
Hit it with some PB blaster then some fluid film when you break it loose. the Fluid Film will lubricate the part and break down the rust further getting it off easily.

I figured out how to finesse the wrench onto the drivers side bottom nut and get it off easily. but if your good at welding, you can make a tool that will do the job better.
Have not had a chance to try my new wrench I found in the dirt one day.
Ended up being the right size and looks like the bend on its perfect for the nut.
I also suggest breaking all the pedestal bolts loose before doing anything to the exhaust, that way they are easier to get up.
Once you got the exhaust part loose, you'll have to use a pry-bar to lift the turbo while taking out the rear pedestal bolts, cause you'll need to get them to move funny so they don't hit the exhaust y-pipe.
They always seem to come out easier than they go in for me.

Been in your shoes and know how much the info helps. The ebpv will help the exhaust flow a little better. Need to remove the valve in the turbo by grinding the rivets off. Then go find some one you know with a tig welder and cut off the actuator on the back. Then fill above the oil jackets not in them. The turbo will die quick. Then put a freeze plug in the shaft hole on the turbo. That's the gist. Ill see if I find the post I used.
