No. If there's no oncoming traffic...I might swerve to avoid it. More to keep frog guts from slinging all up in my wheel wells though.
ditto. But let me tell you I ran over frog in my driveway once and it made THE WORST smell of any dead animal that I've ever encountered! So I'd definitely try to avoid a repeat of that but I wouldn't risk getting rear-ended by someone else.
Does that taste anything like gator? mmm. I got drunk in NO one time and crushed a basket of alligator strips. I remember thinking "damn...these are some good chicken strips."
Depends on which part of the gator you eat. The tail is a little tuff but the legs and body is very tender and more of a darker meat.
I live in the country and have hit all sorts of small critters over the years. It's safer to hit them than to swerve off a little road with a steep bar ditch and try to avoid them.
I was in town a few days ago and saw a sign like that for ducks near some park. I thought then, I'm not slamming on by brakes and getting into a wreck over some duck. Seems like driving through town 4 out of every 3 drivers is texting or playing with their phone while driving. Slamming on the brakes is a bad idea with those kind of statistics.
I have to agree with most here. I would try to not run the poor sucker over, but I'm not going to brake for it. If it were some domestic animal or something large enough to do some damage I certainly would, but not for a frog!
If I could do so without endangering myself or other drivers I'd do what I could to avoid hitting it. Do the same for turtles. Hey, now....Amphibians have it rough nowadays, dontcha know?
I would slow down and try to miss the little guy. No reason to kill it for no reason if I have the option not too. Although coming to a complete stop is stupid. What if it stops hopping and just hangs out in the middle of the road. HMMMMMMM
depends on how big said frog is.
if it is one of your garden variety 2 inch big hoppers, hell no.
but if it is one of those 2 foot tall 50 lb bullfrogs that will eat a small pickup like is on the sign, youbetcha i would.
