EcoBoost Exhaust

can any one foresee any problems with removing the stock exhaust system from the cats-back and having a single straight pipe, stock diameter? Just a thought. I'd like to hear more turbo whistle, and I'm partially deaf and don't know how many times I've almost walked away from the truck and left it running. If I don't check for the keys in my hand, I'm screwed.

thanks.

there shouldn't an issue if it's a cat back exhaust with the same diameter pipe... the back pressure should be roughly the same. I'm not sure i would do a straight pipe tho, that may be a little obnoxious, I would at lease put an aggressive sounding muffler on it. you should still be able to hear the turbo.

Well a stock Dodge Neon SRT-4 didn't have any mufflers on it at all, it just had a pair of resonators. Maybe doing something similar would be sufficient to get your whistle and not have too loud of an exhaust?
