trans seperation
I have a 4wd 66 f-100 with a NP 435 trans married to a Dana 21 transfer case by a 8in housing. I removed the dana 21 from the housing. I do not know how the housing separates from the trans. There is a shaft going thru the housing with a gear on the end that goes to the transfer case. How does that gear separate from the trans?

NP435 to D21 is something different, so they say here. See if any of this makes sense, sheds light etc. If I'm reading it right, you have a regular 4x2 trans for this TC.
