That is one big honking unit. On an original-type A/C, the blower was behind the face. It appears yours is at the passengers feet and blows to the left thru coils? and then into the face plate and out thru registers.
You certainly could find a smaller unit, but if this one works....you can save yourself $800. or so by leaving it in.

1963/65 Falcon/Fairlane, 1965 Mustang & F100/250. 1966: The bezel is painted (within the center section)...dark charcoal instead of argent.
