I am picking this up in Peoria IL on Monday. Never owned a Ford van before. Hoping it will make the trip back to Memphis, TN from Peoria IL. Bought it online (govdeals) sight unseen. Owned by the County of Peoria and supposedly only driver approx 4 times a month. Only 32,000 actual miles. Should be an adventure. One a scale of 1-10, with 10 being a master mechanic, I'm probably a 2. I imagine I'll be on this site quite often. I'm excited and nervous to actually get behind the wheel.
Your van sure brings back some memories!! I had a 76 E250 camper van that looked very similar. My had the same high top and side canopy. But mine was a very pale yellow and it started life as a cargo van. I gutted the back of it it out after I bought it. I used it as my work/cargo van/tow vehicle. I hauled a lot of car parts, motorcycles and riding mowers in that van. And towed even more with it. It hauled my car trailer like a champ. The biggest problem I ever had with it was, I needed to rebuild the carb on it. It was a great van. Mine had the 351W V8 and C6 automatic. That's one van i could really kick myself over getting rid of.
The old Panels were the original vans, before there were vans. I wish my 54 F100 was a panel instead of a truck! Yours looks great

My 1991 E-150 econoline conversion
Hi guys,
I just bought this car a few months back, there were selling it locally here on our small island called Curacao.
Its a V8 5.0L engine.
It use to run really bad, but having put in many new parts this baby sounds like new again. she only has 21k miles on her so the engine is like new.
Next year we need to take her apart to get rid of all the rust.

Here's my wonder wagon. I bought it last year, soaked money into, must soak even more in but damn it's been really dependable no matter what was wrong! Yes, it was side swiped at a grocery store according to the PO. Amazingly enough even though the barn doors don't line up proper no rain has come through the top. The forward one opens but the rear one stopped opening a few months after I bought it. Then the same thing happened to the rear doors. They are on the list!
