I believe there are individual user galleries along with a larger general gallery for such things.
As a work truck I've thought about the bus type vehicles; tons of interior room, great head room and plenty of customization options too. Sadly my neighborhood has a prohibition against any commercial vehicle especially those with dual rear wheels. As a camper that body would also be excellent--basically just an empty room with wheels! |
My motorhome. 1987 E350 6.9L Diesel, C6.

|
Dually wheel.
|
Cool. I want add dual wheels to the back of my bus but I don't know what it would take to do it. We took a trip a while back and had some extra weight on the way back home and it was all over the road made a 6 hour trip a 9 hour trip. I think that the dual wheels would help.

Dual wheels defenently help keep it stable, but what helps alot more is sway bars. I only have a front sway bar, non in the back and on a windy day, it's all over the road.

When I'm in the doghouse (which is most of the time) I clean and paint any parts I have to remove to get to the one I'm working on. The only thing that hasn't been off yet is the pan and its next! Gasket has a little leak. Previous owner said van sat for 6 years and I think it just dried out and cracked. |
I bought a 1989 F150 with a 300/6 brand new and drove it 22 years. Basically, my life outgrew the regular cab so I bought the E350. Anyways, that motor was fantastic and the only problems I had were oil leaks from siting too much while I was away trucking.

I haven't tinkered with engines in over 30 years and I thought the 300 would be "simple" enough for me to work on. I've become a real "fan" for the 300.
|
I'm a real fan of your van! You have no idea how I'd love to find an extended panel van, with a sliding door with either a IDI Diesel or 300!
I will not accept any other engine! I don't care if it's a half ton or a 1 ton though. I'd rather have a 1 ton though, better axle. |
