Quick cruise control indicator question
Hey guys, somebody should be able to answer this quicker than I can type the question here. On my 2003, there's a green indicator when the cruise is engaged. Whenever I touch the brakes, the light goes out. Then, I'll hit "resume" and the green light comes back on.
I thought it was supposed to work that way until I got a new 2011 F150 to drive for work. It has the same green indicator when cruise is engaged. But, when you hit the brakes it changes to a yellow light, indicating an "on but not active" status. Is my 2003 supposed to have the yellow indicator, too?
Bad bulb, maybe?

My '05 was like your '03. My '11 has the yellow / green. My '05 never had anything but the green and functioned the same way. I could it the brakes and the light would go out and when I hit the "resume" button, the green light came back on. With the '11, it goes to yellow until you either hit the "off" button or until you hit the "resume" button, then it's back to green

Thanks guys. I'm glad to hear my truck is working like it's supposed to. I wasn't looking forward to pulling my dash apart.
I do like the yellow "standby" light the '11 has though.
